Hard Disk Drive Data Recovery
Computer Hard Disk Drive Crashed? We Can Help Recover Your Data!
Dataca has proven experience in recovering corrupted, lost, deleted, and formatted data from practically all makes and models of hard disk drives. Our highly skilled engineers use state of the art recovery tools, facilities and techniques that allow us to recover data from hard disk drives even when other companies have failed. We provide you with a fast and economical way of recovering your data. Our data recovery service is backed by our 'No Data No Charge' policy which means you have absolutely no risk to try us.
All hard drives will eventually fail, and often always unexpectedly. Hard drive’s today are hundreds of times the capacity of drives a decade ago. Increasing storage capacities mean more data is being stored in smaller spaces which amplifies the impact of data loss. It's important when your hard drive has a problem to stop using the drive, turn it off, and only trust recovery to an expert.
Common Hard Drive Data Recovery Situations
Our data recovery services are available for all kinds of common hard drive problems including:
- Hard disk drives not being detected by BIOS or operating system
- Clicking, Clunking, Scratching or Grinding sounds
- Hard disk drive does not spin up
- Damage due to a power failure or surge
- Hard drive crash/stopped working without warning
- Drive that has been formatted or overwritten
- Corrupt or missing critical file system structures
- Physical damage from dropping, fire, water and liquids
- Computer freezes, hangs or locks up
- Hard disk failure
- Component failure (read/write heads, servo mechanism, firmware corruption, assemblies, platters, drive motors etc)
- Accidental or intentional file deletion
- Hard drive crashes
- Application or operating system crash
- Corrupted data
- Corrupted system partitions on drives
- Accidental reformatting of partitions
- Hard disk is unable to be accessed
- Virus and worm contamination
- Inaccessible drives and partitions
- Boot-up problems (e.g. Blue Screen of Death, rebooting)
Types of Hard Disk Recovery
There are two basic types of hard disk failures, logical failures and physical failures.
Logical (“Software”) Hard Drive Recovery
A logical failure is when there is nothing physically wrong with the drive itself, but there is a software related problem such as invalid file allocation table entry, corrupted file system, deleted/overwritten files and partitions, disk formatting or virus contamination.
Physical (Mechanical or Electric) Hard Drive Recovery
If your hard drive is suffering from a physical failure then there is something physically wrong with the hard drive itself. Symptoms of such a failure may include a grinding or clicking sound, or it may not make any noise at all.
This type of recovery is considerably more difficult. Two forms of physical failure relate to electronic and mechanical.
- Electronic failure include controller and circuit board problems, and mechanical failure refers
- Mechanical failure include head crash (read/write heads come in contact with platters), read/write head failure, motor, bearing, or filtered air-intake problems
A physical failure requires the hard drive to be opened for inspection and repair in a clean room facility. The use of a clean room is essential for providing a safe and stablised environment in which components can be repaired or replaced.
