Send Us Your Media
Packaging Instructions
Proper packaging of your media is extremely important to ensure that no further damage is done to it during shipping. We recommend that you follow these guidelines to ensure the safe delivery of your media to one of our facilities.
- Use the original shipping materials, if you still have them. If not, they are relatively easy to replicate.
- If possible, remove the media from the computer. Get expert help if necessary. If you are unsure on how to do this, please contact us for instructions. Send us just the hard drive(s), tape(s), CD/DVD, floppy, Zip/Jazz, flashcard, microdrive etc.
- Wrap the media in anti-static material or aluminum foil to protect against Static Electricity.
- Place the media into a box twice the size of the media so that the media can be suspended in the middle of the box. Pack securely with bubble wrap, foam or any type of packaging material that will provide cushioning and reduce the risk of shock, debris, vibrations during transit. Ensure the media is secured in the box to prevent it moving around during transit.
- Contact us for details on where to send your media. We will provide you with the neccessary forms you will have to fill in.
- Upon receiving your parcel we will contact you by your preferred method of contact as marked on the Free Data Recovery Online Quote.
If you are sending us your computer, laptop or notebook, use great care to ensure proper cushioning and protection. Also use a couriering service so that you can easily track your goods.
